SMIT successfully demonstrates Irdeto CI+ EPG CAM

SMIT, a leading official CAM manufacturer, today demonstrates Irdeto CI+ EPG CAM in collaboration with Irdeto. In an industry first, SMIT is the inaugural partner of Irdeto， having implemented CI+ with enhanced applications.

The Irdeto CI+ EPG CAM is compliant to CI Plus specification, which ensures a secure link for transport stream packets between CAM and TV. Moreover, it successfully realizes electronic program guide (EPG) service based on MHEG5 defined in CI+ Spec, with gaming, browser, and VOD etc under development.

Through the demonstration, it fully proves that CAM&iDTV without STB investment, would be a perfect solution in future for operator deployment with advantages: ADVANCED security of whole ecosystem for high value content, fast time to market with pre-integrated CI Plus CAM, user friendly interface experience with MHEG5 as well as STB.
